A committee to explore career academies and how they might be implemented at South worked in the fall of 2008 to develop plans for implementation of academies at grades 10 - 12.

We have determined that we will focus efforts on clarifying career pathways available to students.  As part of this process, we are hoping to develop programs in Media and Communication as well as Health Professions.  We will seek to strengthen current programs in Business, Computer Science, Culinary Arts, Drafting, Early Childhood Education, Graphics Design, and Woods.
