As part of our efforts to insure student success at South, the Connections program matches each student with a teacher as an advisor.  These grade level Connections teams meet for 30 minutes twice each month.  The Freshman Academy Connections groups meet weekly. Based on parent, teacher, and student feedback, plans for Connections have been re-vamped for the 09-10 school year.  Junior and Senior students will find the emphasis has shifted to meeting Oregon requirements for graduation involving Career Related Learning Standards along with preparation for life after graduation. Younger students will have a variety of experience intended to help them connect at school and keep on track for graduation.  All students will learn about specific items they will need to complete as part of their career portfolio.
